Bryan:

Despite many attempts to load these filters/plug-ins, I remain frustrated, unsatisfied and generally ticked off by the impossible task of loading the Machine Wash filters - they are not filters and Mr. Retro should revise what I feel is a deceptive title or description. I have e-mailed Mr. Retro and their sister company FontDiner.com, for support and have heard nothing in response. I am on a Mac and the plug-ins only load in as PC exe filters/plug-ins. You might want to look directly into your plug-in folder to see if your situation is the same as mine. I am so disappointed in this product and the support for this product in non-existent. If your on a PC, good luck as I could not get the “filters” to run on my PC either.

Thanks Ellen for your reply. I'll see if I can put together a rundown of how we use Version Cue. We've been using it for almost a year and we're pretty happy with it. It's become second nature to us now.

I have just dumped my cs2 and loaded cs3 onto my mac. I loaded Machine wash Vol 1 & 2 into my Photoshop, when I go to use the filters they are not showing up. They are in my plug ins folder, but they are not working. Any suggestions?

That would be a resounding YES from me! Like Ivan, I have been searching, attempting to troubleshoot, and pouring through whitepages until my brain is numb and there just is not a lot of helpful information out there. We even spent two days on the phone with tech support -to which the final answer was "well, we don't get a lot of calls about Version Cue, so either not many people are using it, or those that are know more about it then we do..." ugh

Dive. Please. :)

I honestly didn't ever get around to playing around with Slice Sets in ImageReady but I always wondered if they would help me out.

Have you had a chance to try out the Fireworks CS4 beta? Does it seem any better to you? I agree the ImageReady UI and toolset was simple and clean. If I had my wish, I would have had Adobe start from ImageReady and build it out into what Fireworks has become. Maybe even rebrand it Fireworks.

I do feel like ImageReady feels like a post processing tool to work with Photoshop while Fireworks feels more like a standalone do-it-all tool. Makes sense since they were both designed in this manner.
