If you are any kind of real Photoshop user, you have probably come to realize the power held within the Preserve Transparency option. You might even think you are pretty cool hitting your “/” key to toggle it on a selected layer. But here is one better. While filling a layer with a foreground or background color add the Shift key within your key combination. In other words, instead of pressing just Option-Delete, press Option-Shift-Delete. This essentially turns Preserve Transparency on temporarily while you fill with the foreground or background color.
