Find and Download Free Fonts Fast
Sponsored Post: Finding fresh, unique fonts for use in your print or Web design projects can become a project onto itself. Who has time to pour over type specimen books and font foundry’s websites when your project’s deadline is looming over you? Well, imagine a font archive site that takes some of the best things about web 2.0 and you’ve got UrbanFonts.com.
UrbanFonts.com is a new free font archive site that offers plenty of interactive features to help you quickly find just the right font or dingbat for your design projects. Fonts are neatly categorized by tags. Hover over a tag link and a large preview overlay appears showing the type of fonts found in that tag. The site offers over 8,000 free fonts that are Mac and Windows compatible (TrueType). But not all fonts are available for the Mac.
Best of all, the site doesn’t require you to login to download the free fonts. So within a few seconds you can load up the fonts in your favorite font management tool and start using them right away in your designs. And even though the site carries a plethora of free fonts and dingbats, you can also find commercial fonts on the site as well. They even have a well-posted blog, forums, and articles discussing fonts and typography. It’s definitely worth a look.
