Quark Ships QuarkXPress 7. Those of you considering the switch because of the Universal support will have to wait until this summer. Although Quark released a Universal beta earlier in the year, this released version is still only PowerPC compatible. (Via MacCentral.)

Yes, there’s allot of talk about when and whether to switch to Quark Xpress 7 over at the prepress forums on our site. Most Quark Xpress users are waiting for the universal. Most of the Quark Xpress users who have not switched to adobe indesign are not going to switch from Quark. All that’s left using Quark are the most loyal and die hard Quark users.
