This mini-tip is from the incredibly informative Matt Kloskowski of Photoshop TV. The tip actually comes from watching his Adobe Photoshop Killer Tips video podcast. These are highly accessible, two minute segments in which Matt passes on helpfui tips that may be new to you. I highly recommend subscribing to it.
To quickly convert the Background layer to a standard layer in which you can actually work with, hold down Option (Mac) or Alt (Windows) and double-click on the Background layer thumbnail icon or layer name in the Layers palette. There are other ways to go about this but this is by far the fastest that I’ve made aware of.

I was pleased to discover that the document tabs found in Dreamweaver 8 are indeed drag-able. You don’t get any sort of live feedback that you may be accustomed to in other tabbed UIs, but the tabs will reorder once you let go. (Mac users will probably just appreciate having document tabs finally.)
To go to the next open document tab in Dreamweaver 8, press Command+` (Mac) or Control+` (Windows). Throw in Shift to this key combination to go to the previous document.
Lastly, if you want to bust out a document tab to its own window, Control-click (single-button mouse) or right-click (multi-button mouse) on the document tab itself and choose the Move to a New Window option. Notice that you can Close Other Files from this contextual menu as well. To return all your stray document windows to document tabs, select Window > Combine as Tabs from the main application menu.

Why the Disappointing Prices?
So two bits of news came out today that had disappointing prices attached to them: the new season of the Ricky Gervais Show and the new Mac mini.
One I’ll get right out of the way. Ricky Gervais and company have decided to be one of the first pay-to-listen podcasts on iTunes Music Store. This is certainly justifiable since the Ricky Gervais show is quite entertaining and hugely popular. What’s not so funny is the price: $1.99 for a 30 minute audio-only podcast. Keep in mind that full length TV shows are available on iTunes Music Store for the same price. I don’t know about you but I was thinking $0.49 or perhaps even $.99 would have been more in line.
